BANKURA ZILLA SARADAMANI MAHILA MAHAVIDYAPITH

Ours is the only Girls' College in the district of Bankura, West Bengal. The college had its inception in 1973 as a non-government private college, under the University of Burdwan in order to promote education and culture, not only among the young girls of the district but among those of its adjoining districts as well as.

The College is committed to promoting and preserving a curriculum leading to academic excellence and professional advancement and will maintain the continuing process of institutional self-assessment and adaptation to meet the rapidly changing needs of society.

The College has a well-qualified faculty where teaching is not restricted only to class room but where personal attention is also given to each student. It has well-equipped laboratories of Computer/mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Geography.

Our Best Practices:

One Best Practice we have adopted on from April, 2015 onwards is that, Our most Honoured National Anthem played by famous A.R Rahman orkestra is being played daily sharp at 10.45am through the central music system of the college
Here is a Personal Councelling cell which runs successfully under the able leadership of Dr. Sanusri Bhattachariya, Associate Professor of Philosophy, and 'fulbright scholar' of this college who has got a degree on personal councelling from Mumbai. This cell immen immensely help our beloved girl students who face any sort of trouble due to mental stress and strain etc.
